Activities in Istituto Comprensivo "Gianni Rodari"
During the first year of HESTIA (2018-2018), the "Gianni Rodari" school in Palagiano, both primary and secondary levels, implemented the project activities from theme 1A: Human Rights and 1B: Defining Migration. Before Christmas, school students, their families, the Arci – SPRAR Staff, migrant and asylum seeking people, LEGAMBIENTE, RED CROSS, and other local associations were involved in a representation around Hosting and Inclusion. https://quik.gopro.com/v/URR9CezFcA/
The school organized a big event "White Night" to disseminate the first year's project work. The celebration included artwork exibitions in the Erasmus+ corner, informative sessions for parents, all the teachers, CPIA Taranto, SPRAR SvegliArci, Legambiente, Italian Red Cross, choirs, local associations and organizations, pictures and videos from the transnational meetings, etc. Pupils, parents, grandparents, and teachers took part on the event planning. During the second project year (2018-2019), the activities from themes 2A: Migration Stories, 2B: Inclusive Exchanges in Culture & Sports, followed.
